Meet Kulvir
Now I would be lying if I say I wasnt super excited about Kulvir's bridal look. Not only because she is gorgeous so it makes my job a lot easier but because she is a fellow Virk (no blood relation) . All Virks get so excited when they meet another as the surname is very rare.
I can't believe only couple of years ago I was getting her big sister ready for her big day and now Kuli.
The Brief
The problem she has always had is finding the right foundation. Didn't matter what she wore Kuli would always have a reaction . So I decided to use my Pro Bobbi Brown palette foudation. I do love this palette as I can sheer the cream foudation down well without losing the flawless finish.
The Make Up
I love it when a bride says "do what you want- I trust you" . I have the opportunity of showing the bride how we can enhance her features rather than changing them. And it was no different for Kuli. The eyes were mixture of mattes and shimmers from urban decay and illamasqua. Creating a warm bronze smokey eye with a tint of rich purple ( inception by illamasqua ) . The colours were picked to compliment her outfit and jewellery.
Eyeliner of course was infinity by illamasqua and the signature lip colour is the one and only Sanger (yes by illamasqua again) ;)
With soft contouring and subtle highlights (using the AOM range) this makeup look is absolutely flawless
The Hairstyle
Now like most brides I meet they have never a) had their hair up before and b) don't have a clue what they want. One thing that Kuli didn't want was a high bun style and definately wanted something quite low. So I came up with this style
A beehive with a volumised soft quiff with my signature low flat curl bun
The best moment was when Kuli finally turned around to see the finished look. She was lost for words. She was shocked (in a good way) to see what she looked like. The words were "oh my god! I can't believe it's me - but it is me at the same time" . Such a great feeling when a bride reacts to your artistry and vision in that way.
I just want to take this opportunity to say congratulations to Kulvir and Trev and I wish them all the best for the future xx
